Chair:
Mission: Continually recruit new members from all sources, assist on renewing existing members and play host(s) at monthly meetings
Method: Reach out and create alliances with local businesses that do not have members and provide information on benefits of BOMA. Attend B2B type of events such as Chamber events, Rotary Club and other local business events to recruit new members. Take real prospects out to lunch or meet with them and spend time creating relationships with serious potential members leading to joining our chapter.
Ongoing Responsibilities: Be a mentor to new members make they feel welcome and introduce them to other members during events, sit with them at tables, especially their first few meetings. Help place new members on other committees.
Other Responsibilities: Reach out, until contact is made, to members who have not renewed their annual membership and ask them to rejoin. Manage and monitor the waiting list so potential new Allieds are added as our ratios allow.
Commitment: This committee has conference calls or meetings throughout the year. Each Member is expected to go to at least 4 recruitment events/lunches a year

Mission: Provide ideas for programs that would be beneficial and of interest to BOMA members.
Method: Review former programs and discuss what topics were well received and new topics to be considered. Consider both allied and principal requirements and interests when discussing topics. News worthy and/or special events may determine topic interest for membership
Ongoing Responsibilities: Once topics are chosen, committee members work to find and secure speakers, select and arrange for an appropriate venue, and assist the Executive Director in promoting the event to the membership. The group also works to obtain sponsors for each of the program meetings.
Other Responsibilities: Ability to attend meetings to discuss topics either via conference calls or in person meetings.
Commitment: Provide minimum of 6 programs (educational/social) in nature throughout the calendar year.
Chair:
Mission: Through advertising, marketing efforts, and social media to continuously create awareness and presence for Southern CT BOMA.
Method: Reach out and create alliances with local newspapers, real estate publications and other affiliated businesses/organizations to promote events and award recipients for Southern CT BOMA.
Ongoing Responsibilities: Provide photography at all Southern CT BOMA events.
Other Responsibilities: Reach out and create relationships with local newspapers and real estate publications to facilitate and ensure monthly press releases are posted for Southern CT BOMA.
Commitment: This committee has conference calls throughout the year. Each Member is expected to go to at least 4 events/lunches a year.

Mission: Secure a venue for the annual golf outing which is held each year in early June.
Method: Review local golf courses (including locations of former outings) and get pricing for golf outing. Consider location for Southern CT BOMA so that it is convenient for the majority of membership.
Ongoing Responsibilities: Secure location and provide necessary down payment to hold location and date. Begin advertising campaign in late February/early March. In addition, work on securing sponsorships, selecting registration gift and raffle prizes (considering budget for all items).
Other Responsibility: Ability to attend meetings/participate in conference calls to discuss venue and outing beginning in mid March. In addition, committee members will need to make calls for sponsorships, donations for golfer’s gift bags and helping set-up on the day of the outing. A post outing conference call is also held to discuss the event and financials associated with outing as well as discuss attendee feedback.
Commitment: Provide membership with enjoyable golf outing at a reasonable price.
Chair:
Mission: Recruit buildings for local TOBY awards dinner held every other year in May; encourage local winners to participate on the Regional/International level.
Method: To contact property owners/managers and explain the benefits of winning a TOBY. Work with new TOBY properties to make sure they are ready for a site visit with the proper notebook.
Ongoing Responsibilities: To participate on conference calls (usually 4-6) to review TOBY entries, choose judges to visit the properties; choose venue; registration gift; solicit sponsors for the event. At the event, help with set-up if needed, and sell 50/50 raffle tickets.
Commitment: Conference calls (4-6); meeting with potential TOBY buildings; judging 1-2 properties for the local judging; help, when needed, judging Regional entries.

Mission: Focuses on reaching out to the new and next generation of leaders in the real estate industry allowing for networking opportunities amongst each other and with those more experienced.

Mission: Organize details of Summer and Holiday Social. Search out venues to host the events, work on a budget for the event. Solicit sponsorships to help offset some of the expenses.
